
A minimum of 5 years experience working on large Cisco and heterogeneous networks and their associated infrastructure gained within the financial business sector, while service provider experience would be a distinct advantage.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to design plan, document and implement complex changes to existing and future networks with clear understanding and cognisance of emerging technologies.
They will have a strong knowledge of MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, Spanning Tree. Networking and Voice skills / knowledge should not be limited to Cisco. Proven ability to be able to work across a wide range of Cisco's products included, and not limited to, the Catalyst 6500 range is a key element of the role.
Knowledge and certification on Voice, Video and TelePresence / Presence technologies would also be of high interest with clear indication of experience gained, and where, noted in the candidates CV.
Both helpdesk and project work experience would be advantageous. The candidate should be familiar with change control and demonstrate the ability to work within strict change control environments.
CCIE , CCNP / DP, CCVP would be advantageous.
